If you are referring a client, please:
- Send your referral to intake@abilitypsychologyservices.com.
- Book an intake call if you would like to discuss the referral (note: intakes are mandatory for outreach referrals due to WHS).
If you are referring for an assessment (only), please:
- Book your intake call and note the assessment type (e.g., Autism Assessment) on your booking so that we may connect you with a member of our assessment team.
- Email any relevant documentation (e.g., referrals, past reports) to assessmentreferral@abilitypsychologyservices.com, if applicable.
The Intake Call:
- Please allow approx. 20 minutes to complete the intake.
- Call will come from a private number. If you miss our call, you can return contact on 1300 229 906, select Option 2 from the menu to be put through to intake.
- During the intake, you will be asked about:
- Reason for referral / goal.
- Location and general availability.
- Relevant information about their individual circumstances that may inform referral.
- Individual preferences (e.g., appointment frequency, nature of support).
- Any upcoming assessment / report needs (e.g., NDIS review date within <6 months).
- Information discussed at intake is brief and general in nature. This information is used to determine to connect you with a suitable clinician and service arrangement. In the event that we are not the most suitable service or otherwise cannot provide the appropriate support, we aim to provide recommendations for on-referral, where indicated.
